Johnson & Johnson is currently recruiting for a Senior Tax Analyst (STA) as part of its US Tax Center (US CTC). This position is within the State and Local Tax Planning & Policy group. The preferred candidate's work location will be in Titusville or New Brunswick NJ and the position will incorporate the J&J Flex Hybrid Wok Model. The Titusville, NJ location offers a shuttle service to the NJ Transit Trenton station which is accessible via both NJ & PA regional rail systems. Learn more at . The Senior Tax Analyst role is focused on state tax planning and works with neighboring tax groups to ensure consistent compliance is achieved. Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Understand, quantify, and communicate the state tax implications of proposed business and/or tax law changes.
  • Seek to be a valued partner to governments and advocate for tax legislation that provides clarity and encourages innovation and growth.
  • Assist with state tax research and be able to effectively document application of relative state laws to business models.
  • Perform ongoing review and research of domestic tax laws, court decisions, and administrative pronouncements to ensure the company's compliance and find opportunities for tax savings.
  • Help to drive efficiencies through standardization & use of technology to streamline processes and ensure consistency.
  • Assist with ad-hoc requests, including planning models and analysis.
  • Quantify, document, and report state tax reserves, as needed.
  • Collaborate with the tax compliance group to ensure planning strategies are implemented into current tax filings and are supportable on future audits.
  • Assist with developing recommendations and collaborating with business partners outside of tax, including varying levels of leadership.
  • As needed, assist with federal and state tax audits and related matters.
  • Document tax processes and identify process improvements. Provide support for other corporate tax projects and processes as needed.
