Job Description:
Barclays Services Corp. seeks Vice President, PB Middle office
in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions available): Provide operations
subject matter expertise to Prime Brokerage Middle Office clients
trading Equities and Fixed Income products in U.S. domestic
markets. Serve as point of contact for Clients on all operational
issues, including trade processing, settlements/fails, trade
exceptions, and trade capture. Perform root cause analysis on
issues or control gaps and determine strategic solutions. Interact
with internal and external stakeholders, including the clients,
Execution desks, sales, custodians, Broker-dealers, and technology
teams. Initiate and drive strategic projects to improve and
streamline processes and drive technology improvement
opportunities. Work on various reconciliation reports and resolve
cash/position discrepancies to ensure all operational risks are
mitigated in a timely and accurate manner. Collaborate with
technology to help identify and resolve system exceptions stemming
from breakdowns in trade lifecycle processing and effectively
implement the internal controls. May telecommute. This position is
eligible for incentives pursuant to Barclays Employee Referral
Program. Purpose of the role To support business areas with
day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue
resolution. Accountabilities Support various business areas with
day-to-day initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting,
trading, and issue resolution. Collaboration with teams across the
bank to align and integrate operational processes. Identification
of areas for improvement and providing recommendations in
operational processes. Development and implementation of
operational procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain
operational efficiency. Development of reports and presentations on
operational performance and communicate findings to internal senior
stakeholders. Identification of industry trends and developments to
implement best practice in banking operations. Participation in
projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and
effectiveness. Vice President Expectations To contribute or set
