Interstate Waste Services, a leader in non-hazardous waste management in the Northeast U.S., is seeking a dedicated Assistant Manager of Site Operations to join our team. This position is pivotal in sustaining our commitment to environmental stewardship and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will oversee daily site operations and enhance workflow efficiencies across our waste collection, transfer, and recycling facilities. Supervise daily operations and ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards. Assist in the management of site personnel, fostering a safe, productive, and ethically sound work environment. Coordinate with the site manager to implement operational projects and improve processes. Monitor operational performance and assist in preparing reports on site activities. Leverage technology to enhance operational efficiencies and reduce waste. Oversee equipment maintenance schedules and ensure all activities align with environmental policies. Assist in budget preparation and cost control activities. Handle emergency response incidents and provide decisive leadership in crisis situations. Strong leadership and decision-making skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Proficiency in operational management software and Microsoft Office Understanding of waste management operations and related technologies Ability to prepare and interpret operational documents and reports Certified Waste Management Professional (CWMP) preferred OSHA Safety Certification or similar is advantageous
