About the Role: The Sr Estimator is an integral part of the
electrical construction process and ensures competitiveness,
profitability, and growth while maintaining and growing
relationships with internal and external customers and clients The
Sr Estimator is responsible for preparing complete cost estimates
as well as responses to Requests for Proposals (RFO's) for
commercial and industrial electrical construction projects. Another
key responsibility is the mentoring and training of Estimators and
Estimator Trainees. Company Overview Huen Electric, Inc., a

design/assist expertise, from the preparation of cost estimates and
controls to value engineering and preconstruction planning.
Essential Functions We are seeking an experienced and
detail-oriented Senior Electrical Estimator with a strong
background in estimating electrical scopes for large-scale
warehouse and distribution center projects. The ideal candidate
will have a deep understanding of electrical systems typical in
high-volume warehouse environments, including lighting, power
distribution, generators, EV charging, fire alarm and low voltage
systems. You will lead the preparation of accurate and competitive
estimates for both ground-up/renovation warehouse projects across
commercial and industrial sectors. - Key Responsibilities: - Lead
the electrical estimating process for warehouse and distribution
center projects from conceptual, budgeting, through final bid
submission (projects valued 5 to 10 million). - Review construction
documents, drawings, and specifications to determine complete
electrical scope and cost impacts. - Generate detailed material and
labor takeoffs specific to warehouse systems, including high-bay
lighting, switchgear, panelboards, EV charging, branch power,
generators, fire alarm, and low voltage systems. - Collaborate with
project managers, general contractors, design teams, and
subcontractors to clarify scope and resolve technical issues. -
Analyze historical data and market trends to prepare accurate cost
benchmarks and budgets. - Conduct job site visits when needed to
understand project conditions and develop realistic cost
assumptions. - Identify value engineering opportunities to reduce
costs without compromising project quality or code compliance.
About You: Qualifications - 8 years of electrical estimating
experience, with at least 3 years focused on warehouse or
industrial facility projects. - Proven experience estimating
high-volume, fast-track warehouse builds, tenant improvements, and
electrical infrastructure upgrades. - Strong knowledge of NEC,
energy codes, and electrical systems common to warehouse
environments (e.g., LED lighting, occupancy sensors, dock equipment
power, fire alarm). - Proficient with industry-standard estimating
software such as Accubid, Bluebeam, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft
Excel. - Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical
schematics, one-lines, and specifications. - Excellent written and
verbal communication skills. Engage and respond to clients in a
professional and timely manner to understand their needs, provide
solutions and build relationships. - Strong time management and
organizational skills; able to manage multiple bids simultaneously
under tight deadlines. - Ability to work independently and as part
of a team - Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working with
national warehouse developers (e.g., Amazon, Prologis, Walmart) is
a plus. - Design-build and value engineering experience highly
desirable. - Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Working knowledge of
local electrical codes - Proven ability to read and understand
civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, etc. plans and
specifications to include blueprints, proposals and other relevant
documents - Working knowledge of electrical materials and methods
of installation - General knowledge of engineered material costs -
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, Bluebeam, Accubid
and/or other estimating software - Excellent analytical,
organizational, verbal, written, and communication skills - Team
player mentality - Self-driven with the ability to stay on-task for
extended periods of time while working independently What We Offer:
Compensation & Benefits - Salary $115,000 - $157,000 / year -
Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are
made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges
depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate. -
