Norcross, GA, and has approximately 269 locations across 39 U.S.
States and six Canadian provinces. Approximately 5,600 associates
provide support for more than 200,000 customers annually. White Cap
Supply Holdings provides specialty concrete and construction
products serving professional concrete contractors and
self-performing general contractors, as well as all professional
contractors who require power tools and accessories, safety
equipment, and fastening products in non-residential, residential
and other markets. In addition to value-add services, White Cap
Supply Holdings offers a portfolio of 400,000 SKUs that include
concrete accessories and chemicals, engineered materials and
fastening systems, steel products, tools and equipment, building
envelope, safety and consumables, and wood products. White Cap
Supply Holdings is commonly referred to simply as White Cap. Job
Description & Qualifications Job Summary Responsible for ensuring
that effective and consistent practices are being followed in
region. Acts as key communicator to field and as an advocate of
company and business operating policies and practices. This
position requires operation of a Company Vehicle or a Personal
Vehicle and such operation is done consistently more than 20% of
the average work week. If selected for this position, HD Supply
will run a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report. A requirement of this
position is an acceptable MVR report. Major Tasks, Responsibilities
and Key Accountabilities
- Ensures that effective and consistent operating practices exist
at all levels and locations.
- Oversees hiring, training and development for District
- Maintains contact with the field, performing operational
reviews and site visits.
- Coordinates with corporate operations on special projects and
votes on ability to perform.
- Ensures accounting procedures and controls are in place as
mandated by Sarbanes-Oxley.
- Reviews P&L for assigned regions. Manages operating
expenses and ROIC, approving fixed assets as assigned. Nature and
- Solutions require analysis and investigation.
- Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on
professional methods, business principles, and practical
experience. May recommend/make decisions regarding new
programs/initiatives that have significant impact to the business
and carry consequences in unsuccessful endeavors.
- Manages a larger team or multiple small teams through direction
of subordinate management and/or supervisory staff. Work
- Usually located in a comfortable environment but with regular
exposure to factors causing moderate physical discomfort, such as
dust, fumes, or odors.
- Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same
location with some opportunity to move about. Occasionally there
may be a requirement to stoop or lift light material or equipment
(typically less than 8 pounds).
- Typically requires overnight travel more than 50% of the time.
Education and Experience
- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally
7+ years of experience in a related field. May require
certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some
