Job Description:

Serves as the subject matter expert on the use of continuous improvement tools and processes for all functions of the organization

  • Trains, teaches, builds and promotes the capability within the organization to "identify waste" within business processes
  • provides training to all levels of the organization on identifying non value added elements and improvement opportunities
  • enables process optimization and drives standardization to develop robust systems that continuously deliver repeatable results
  • Develops programs with functional leaders that are both strategic and tactical to enable functional leaders to achieve intended goals of performance improvement delivering financial results
  • D evelops change management strategies to empower and transform functional leaders into "champions of excellence"
  • C hampions the wider acceptance of the Sabert Operating Principles in all business units and functions thru targeted programs to drive a culture of constant improvement
    Responsibilities:
    • Leads and manages all aspects of continuous improvement efforts, including deployment, employee training and skill development
    • Guides the implementation of operational excellence metrics with functional leaders
    • Works with functional leaders to identify, define and enable execution of significant process improvement projects
    • Collaborates with functional leaders cross-functionally to ensure effective execution of improvement projects with P&L impact
    • Motivates, coaches and develops individuals across the organization involved in leading or executing operational excellence or continuous improvement objectives; mentors individuals at all levels to support them through the adoption of lean principles and practices
    • Assesses, analyzes and implements solutions across the Company to identify and eliminate waste in all business functions
    • Personally helps create success models by owning and leading key improvement initiatives within or across business units
      Required Skills & Competencies:
      • Strong working knowledge and depth of understanding in areas such as sales strategy deployment, NPD, business process optimization, manufacturing and operations, logistics and margin improvement
      • Ability to zoom in and zoom out to develop true picture of the current and future state; breakthrough change agent experience in variety of organizational and functional disciplines
      • Deep practical expertise in Lean methodologies, tools and processes; understanding of all types of continuous improvement approaches
      • Self-motivated, highly driven, influential, resourceful and entrepreneurial, demonstrating willingness for learning and improvement
      • Well-developed quantitative and qualitative analytical skills and critical thinking skills
      • Strong influencing and communication skills; capable of securing executive level leadership buy-in, sponsorship and investment through strong articulation of business benefits aligned to broader organizational strategy
      • Outstanding and proven leadership and interpersonal capabilities; ability to influence and collaborate broadly across all levels of the organization to achieve results with cross-functional teams
      • Skilled with the use of Microsoft and other business software applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SAP, etc.

        Education & Experience:
        • Bachelor's Degree required (B.A. or B.S.); MBA or MSE is preferred
        • 7+ years proven management experience at the senior level in delivering successful process and results outcomes across the organization
        • A proven record of successful leadership, combining strategic and operational improvement expertise in challenging environments
        • Demonstrated, hands-on successful experience in driving Lean transformation to achieve optimization of manufacturing systems, practices and processes
        • Demonstrable experience in change management techniques
        • L ean certification from a recognized institution strongly preferred
