The Certified Medical Assistant performs a variety of duties such as assisting physicians with patient care; handling clerical, environmental and organizational tasks, as well as provide information to patients regarding clinical services.
This position is located in Sayerville, NJ
The successful candidate will be able to:

• 
  
• 
  Fulfill patient care responsibilities, including checking schedules and organizing patient flow
  
  
• 
  Accompany patients to exam/procedure room and assists with walking transfers, dressing, collecting specimens, preparing for exams etc.
  
  
• 
  Obtain patient demographics and information.
  
  
• 
  Understand and maintain patient confidentiality during check-in procedures
  
  
• 
  Prepare patient record/chart
  
  
• 
  Perform screenings as per provider guidelines
  
  
• 
  Understand proper hand washing procedures
  
  
• 
  Accurately determine systolic and diastolic pressures
  
  
• 
  Assist other healthcare providers with a variety of procedures
  
  
• 
  Relay instructions to patients/families
  
  
• 
  Perform front desk/clerical duties when needed
  
  
• 
  Perform any and all other duties as assigned
  
  
• 
  High School diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) required
  
  
• 
  Medical Assistant Diploma
  
  
• 
  RMA, AMT or AAMA Certification
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 1 year of recent experience working in a medical facility as a medical assistant or externship completion in a medical office
  
  
• 
  Working experience with electronic medical records (EMR) software; eClinical Works a plus!
  
  
• 
  Current BLS certification
  
  
• 
  Electrocardiogram (EKG), vital signs, venipuncture, capillary and injection experience
  
  
• 
  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  
  
• 
  Excellent customer service skills
  
  
• 
  Organization and time management skills to manage a variety of tasks effectively
