Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/innovative-medicine Purpose: The Sr. Manager, TDM Functional Manager, manages individual contributors in a matrix environment, and is accountable for conducting effective performance management and meaningful career development conversations. This position manages operations of the organization's clinical trial projects, including oversight of deliverables' safety, effectiveness, comparability to current treatments, approval for mass usage, and observation of longterm effects. The Sr. Manager serves as a primary point of contact for all clinical trial projects from an assigned set of clients. The role maintains timeline expectations for delivery of quality services and products and applies a longterm perspective to acquiring regular business and strategic partnerships, and ensures adherence and knowledge of the revenue, cost containment, and budget projections associated with the department. You will be responsible to: Manage other Managers, Supervisors, and/or individual contributors in a matrix environment, and is accountable for conducting effective performance management and meaningful career development conversations. Communicate plans and protocols for clinical trial projects to team members in order to ensure the organization is generating effective service and meeting established standards. Directs project proposal activities from team members to ensure compliance with the company's regulatory, safety, quality, and confidentiality protocols and standards. Maintain the analysis and planning of the company's clinical trial data, development of project timelines, engagement with external stakeholders, accounting, and development of presentations to ensure accordance with the company's overall drug development program objectives. Consolidate information throughout clinical project timelines and presents applicable information to leaders and stakeholders to keep key figures up to date with project affairs. Responsible for managing operational aspects of their team (e.g., workflow, performance, and compliance), as well as ensuring achievement of team goals within established timelines and budgets. Integrate Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team goals and decision making. Additional Responsibilities may Include: Mentor & support onboarding of new team members, particularly those in Trial Management. Foster employee engagement, inclusion, and Credo Behaviors. Qualifications / Requirements: BS degree, preferred areas of study include Life Sciences (Life Sciences (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Nursing, Pharmacy) is required. Minimum of 8 years in Pharmaceutical, Healthcare or related industries is required. Clinical research operational knowledge and experience across multiple phases of studies (phase I-IV); ability to manage all aspects of execution of a clinical trial is required. Minimum 2 years prior line management experience or 3-5 years matrixed leadership experience is required. Excellent decision-making & analytical skills are essential to this position is required. Capable of working independently and achieving tasks with minimal guidance is required. Strong project planning/management, communication, and presentation skills are required. Successful track record of developing talent and leaders of leaders is preferred. Proven track record of collaboration across organizations to innovate, implement efficiencies, and drive complex change is required. Experience in collaborating with diverse teams and overseeing significant projects leadership experience in facilitating change and exerting influence in a complex setting is required. Trusted, inclusive leader with demonstrated experience in managing and mentoring crossfunctional, global teams is required. Effective leadership skills and proven ability to foster team productivity and cohesiveness in a changing environment are required. Excellent communication skills are required. Strong financial analysis and decision-making skills are required. Ability to drive a Credo-based culture, including building and developing a diverse and inclusive environment is required. LI-Hybrid Required Skills: Preferred Skills: The anticipated base pay range for this position is : $137,000.00 - $235,750.00 Additional Description for Pay Transparency: Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
