At Lockheed Martin, as a Linux/Windows Systems Administrator, you will be at the forefront of managing and maintaining the IT infrastructure crucial to our defense and aerospace projects. This role is integral in ensuring system reliability, security, and performance. You'll work in a highly ethical, inclusive, and teamwork-driven environment, and contribute to projects that are vital to national security and technological innovation. Install, configure, and maintain Linux and Windows server operating systems and software. Monitor system performance and security, addressing potential issues before they become problems. Ensure compliance with industry security standards and practices. Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to implement new systems and improve existing ones. Provide technical support and troubleshooting to ensure minimal downtime. Conduct system backups and disaster recovery operations. Document system configurations and all changes made. Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems. Proficiency in system security measures and monitoring tools. Ability to script in languages such as Bash or PowerShell. Experience in virtualization technologies and containerization. Familiarity with network setup, troubleshooting, and configuration. Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
