Job Description:
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent
practical experience. 8 years of experience in software
development. 7 years of experience with full-stack development,
across back-end such as Java, Python, GO, or C++ codebases, and
front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS
or equivalent. 5 years of experience with design and architecture;
and testing/launching software products. Preferred qualifications:
Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a
related technical field. Experience as an Uber Technical Lead or
Senior Staff Software Engineer in a large-scale product
environment. Experience in applied AI, multimodal models, and GenAI
technologies, with the ability to translate model capabilities into
user-facing features. Experience working in a complex, matrixed
organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business
projects. Experience mentoring executive engineers and TLs and
fostering a technical culture. About the job Google's software

this role, you will oversee the technical strategy and execution
across the entire Google Slides product, ensuring its continued
success as a must-win platform within Workspace. You will provide
comprehensive technical direction to software engineers, focusing
on high-quality delivery, architectural integrity, and solving
issues while integrating GenAI features into Slides.Your goal is to
help presentation creators become more effective visual
storytellers through AI-powered creation, design and visualization.
You will achieve this by partnering with DeepMind and are
leveraging Gemini's and Nano Banana's capabilities. AI will change
the future of work in profound ways, and our products— Gmail, Docs,
Drive, Calendar, Sheets, Vids and Meet are at the forefront. From
pre-computed summaries for email threads, summaries for meetings,
and videos created from a document using lifelike AI avatars, our

for this full-time position is $262,000-$365,000 bonus equity
benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and
location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work
location and additional factors, including job-related skills,

technical goal, strategy, and architecture for Google Slides
including platform investments, performance metrics, and technical
debt management. Lead technical development and delivery of
AI-powered features, ensuring Large Language Model (LLM) modeling,
quality, and seamless integration across Gemini-powered slide
creation, editing, multi-turn interactions, and agentic flows.
Establish and lead collaborations with key internal partners
including Google DeepMind (GDM) and the central AI Platform teams.
Lead and mentor engineering team while directing project execution
to stakeholders, serving as the primary technical point of contact
and setting standards for engineering quality, testing, and
monitoring. Define the product direction by partnering with product
and UX leads to define the roadmap for Google Slides.
