Job Description Job Description CDL Class A Driver – Local Equipment Transport Northeast Sweepers & Rentals Fairfield, NJ $30.00 – $35.00 per hour (Based on Experience) Full-Time | Home Daily Position Overview Northeast Sweepers & Rentals is seeking a dependable, self-motivated Class A CDL Driver to transport new and rental equipment throughout New Jersey and surrounding areas. This position operates a company-owned Landoll trailer and plays a critical role in supporting our sales, rental, and service operations. This is a local driving position — you will be home every night. We are looking for a safety-focused professional who takes pride in equipment care, punctuality, and representing our company in a professional manner. Work Schedule Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (may vary based on schedule) Lunch: 30-minute unpaid lunch Schedule: 5-day work week Overtime: Paid after 40 hours (with pre-approval) Occasional Saturdays as business demands Key Responsibilities Equipment Transport Safely transport new and rental equipment throughout NJ and nearby areas Operate a Landoll trailer and tractor in compliance with DOT regulations Secure loads properly and ensure safe delivery Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and logs Customer Interaction Deliver equipment to municipal and commercial customers Provide professional communication at job sites Represent Northeast Sweepers & Rentals with professionalism and courtesy Safety & Compliance Maintain a clean driving record Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies Report mechanical issues promptly Qualifications CDL Class A (Required) Minimum 2 years of CDL driving experience Clean driving record Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety compliance Experience hauling heavy equipment preferred Ability to properly secure and transport large equipment Strong work ethic and reliability Preferred (Not Required) DOT Medical Card Experience with heavy equipment transport Familiarity with municipal job site procedures
