Description
The Senior Sales/Pricing Analyst will work closely with the
Director, Revenue Management in maintaining, updating, enforcing
pricing policies and guidelines, creating scalable solutions to
internal processes and facilitate Sales requests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Analysis:
- Provide analytical support for Pricing and Profit Improvement
initiatives
- Analyze and adjust pricing in order to balance profitability
and market competitiveness
- Seek enhancements/improvements for existing tools & business
processes
- Ensure accuracy of the inputs & assumptions for customer
profitability models
- Leverage BI tools identify potential opportunities for sales &
margin growth
Monitoring and Tracking:
- Sales compliance - Consistent review of into stock and/or Proof
of delivery pricing changes to ensure compliance with Sabert
Policy
- Periodic review of low margin items and programs and prices
that are out of line with current guidelines
- Ensure compliance with announced price increases
- Monthly follow up to ensure agreed actions are taken on above
items/programs
Maintenance and Administrative:
- Plan, communicate, and execute Market Price Adjustments or
other mass price updates
- Maintain the pricing structure and database for Into-Stock and
proof of delivery item pricing as new items are added, items are
phased out, etc. over time
- Provide on-going reporting to Sales Leadership in support of
tier price revisions
- Maintain Master Price Lists
- Ad-hoc analysis
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Previous pricing experience preferred
- High level of statistical and analytics skills
- Good business judgment, financial knowledge, and organizational
skills
- Collaborative work style; ability to influence and persuade
others
- Continually seeks improvements, relentlessly curious
- Capable of working at a detailed level; hands-on
- Operates with a sense of urgency; ability to manage to
deadlines
- Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
Required Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a number intensive work
environment
- S. Degree in Business (Finance, Accounting, Marketing); MBA a
plus.
- Must have high level of proficiency in Excel; Access, SQL,
Alteryx, Microsoft Flow
- Experience with VBA for automation of processes
- Microsoft Power BI a plus
- SAP Business Objects experience a plus
