Job Description:
Toxicology Specialist provides general support within the
toxicology department and contributes to the conduct of toxicology
studies through management of internal and external support
activities, and/or study monitoring as assigned and supervised by
his/her supervisor other senior scientific staff within the
department. In this role, a typical day might include: Serves in a
general support role for the toxicology department, working in
collaboration across functional groups as required to identify,
align, and complete assigned tasks semi-independently. Participates
effectively as a member of a team and communicates/coordinates at
all levels of the department. Capable of acting as lead study
monitor on in vitro or non-GLP animal toxicology studies with
limited supervision. Supports/participates in the monitoring of GLP
toxicology studies under close supervision. Reviews technical
sections of internal and external reports under the guidance of
their supervisor or senior scientific staff within the department.
Utilizes appropriate data visualization tools (i.e. excel, GraphPad
Prism), to assist in the interpretation, and summarization of
toxicology data. This role might be for you if have experience:
conducting literature searches, summarizing findings, and
presenting in team meetings. maintaining and/or assisting in the
creation of department SOPs. maintenance of toxicology master
schedule. maintenance and organization of databases housing
toxicology study protocols, reports, and study data files. supports
contracting, finance, and invoice approvals of toxicology studies.
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following:
Bachelors degree in biological sciences with 5 years of post-degree
experience within a pharmaceutical/drug development environment, or
a masters degree in Toxicology (or closely related discipline)
Experience in the monitoring of regulated toxicology studies is
