Job Description:
Job Description We are looking for dedicated and engaging Social
Workers to be part of a well-established private child welfare
non-profit organization in NYC. The organization provides
comprehensive community services to children of all ages and their
families residing in underserved communities throughout New York
City. Family Support, Therapeutic Interventions and Family
Assessment Program (FAP) services. Safe Way Forward Program for
families impacted by Domestic Violence. Foster Care Program that
places children with supportive families in their own neighborhoods
when their parents cannot offer them the stability, safety, and
support they need to thrive. Youth Empowerment Programs to help
youth who has transitioned out of foster care to re-engage them.
QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s OR Bachelor's in Social Work (MSW or BSW),
Psychology, Counseling or a related field required (New Grads are
welcome to apply!) Knowledge/experience or STRONG INTEREST in any
of the following: 1. Foster care/adoption field, 2. Child welfare
system, 3. Domestic violence service system, public benefits, legal
and housing systems, 4. Working with adolescents and families in a
child welfare, mental health or juvenile justice setting The
positions require home visits to different areas in NYC - valid
driver's license is required. Please keep in mind that we pay
